Focus of Major Activities

For the years 2010-11 to 2012-13, the Manch has taken up the following main issues.

    • To act as a catalyst and collaborate with other NGOs for implementation of the objectives of the Manch,
    • To endeavour for a comprehensive mobility plan with a view to making a viable traffic & transportation plan for Pune Metropolitan Region,
    • To actively take part in the formulation of the Development Plan for Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporations so as to give an
       impetus to improve the quality of life of the citizens,
    • To assist municipal and other authorities in combating vehicular pollution,
    • To give a momentum for greening of Pune, and
    • To make people aware of their ‘right to information’ so as to bring transparency in administration and ensure good governance.
